So, I received a package from Amazon.com today. Since I know for a fact I haven't ordered anything online in a good long while, I'm assuming it's a Christmas present and am therefore not opening it until the big day. But thanks in advance to whoever it's from and, if you're watching to make sure I got it, yes indeedy. It's already been packed into the car for the big move to Chris's next week!

So, I just watched the fifth (though technically fourth) sleepaway camp. As far as kind of crappy horror movies go, it honestly wasn't that bad until like the last thirty seconds. WTF was up with the bad dramatic laugh and stare? Boo on that.

But I did have a thought. Hey Ziggy, for your birthday next year you should do another theme. You should do Horror Movie Victims. It would be fun to come as Linda, with the barbed wire wrapped around the head and whatnot. Fun times.

I hate living in Georgia sometimes.

I actually heard a woman in my line talking about Obama yesterday and here's what she had to say.

"It'll be interesting to see how much of a sense of humor Americans have this term."

Cause we didn't have to have a good sense of humor when it came to Bush? I mean really. I hate extreme right republicans because they can't even fathom that the other guy could do a good job. If McCain had won, bully. I would have been on team McCain because you know what, he'd be our president and that's the end of that. When Bush won four years ago, sure I pouted for a few days, but then I accepted it and moved on. It's been a month! Don't belittle a man that you probably know very little about just because he beat your guy. If you have a problem with Obama's policies, fine. If you disagree with his energy plan, fine. If you think he's too inexperienced, that's fair. But if the only statement you can make has no factual...anything in it and you're just bitter, shut the fuck up. I'm sick of hearing it all day everyday from every person in my line as they walk past the damn Time Magazine Obama issue. It's over. Move on.

I never realized how strict Wheel of Fortune was. I mean...they had this guy who completely solved the puzzle, right? But it had an ampersand in it and he fumbled. He said "or" instead of "and". And they didn't give it to him. I mean, the puzzle STARTED with that, so it's not like he didn't guess the blank spots right. If it had been Jeopardy, Alex would have given it to him.

And then later, they had the "Where are we?" category and it was really hard. And if you solve that puzzle you apparently get to answer the question "Where are we?" in regards to the clues on the puzzle, which were Traps, Holes, Hazards, and Greens. But I don't think this guy knew you got to do that. Because when asked, with no context, "So, where are we?" He said "well, pheonix" cause that's where they're filming. He didn't understand! That's hardly fair.

Stupid day time tv.

forgot [Monday, December 1st, 2008 @ 1:07pm]
These are my holiday wishlists...just in case.

Books
Geeky Stuff
Comic Books
DVDs
Most Important (but expensive) Stuff
For the Car

It is important to note that some things on these lists, I do not expect anyone to buy ever. For example, there is at least one statue on my Geeky Stuff wishlist that is around $400. It's only there so I don't forget about it and, someday, it will hopefully get cheaper, or I'll win the lottery. I'm not insane, just....hopeful.

I wish I was drunk [Monday, December 1st, 2008 @ 12:36pm]
Okay, so my car is still dead. Tires Plus doesn't anticipate it being done before tomorrow now. The technician in charge of all things electrical isn't in yet, and he's only coming in to look at my car, so who knows if he'll even bother today? So, still no car.

Which also means I'm having to put off Angel's appointment till next week since I have no concept of when they'll actually finish. But it's okay. They said I can get him in no matter how soon before the appointment I want I call. They are so far away, though, I'm going to have to request off work, and I can't do that until I know for sure that I'll have a car. Fate is determined to let my cat keep his balls. I've finally found a place I can afford and my car literally dies to protect the little guy. WTF?

Spoke to the Publix in Augusta and my transfer is, in fact, going to go through. Thank god. I had my doubts for a bit there, but I feel a lot better knowing I'll actually have income when I get there. And because it IS a transfer and I'm not having to go in as a new hire, I should get to keep my current pay rate, which isn't too bad for working at a grocery store.

I need to get my christmas situation under control. So far, I've only bought things for Chris, and most of it was with cafepress money that doesn't really count as my own money. I have the roommates to buy for and my mother and grandmother. Hopefully they'll let me slide and I won't have to actually buy them anything until I'm going to visit them. That should buy me some time and save my wallet a bit. I don't expect presents really. I know Chris is buying me something, but it's a single object which I'm very happy to have and I don't expect more. The roommates do stockings, as I just found out, so I have that to look forward to. But from my family? Grandma hasn't actually bought me a Christmas present I could use in any capacity in several years. And mother is paying for my car. So, the biggest spender is off the list. And I'd really been hoping she would help me out with some kitchen stuff...liked I dunno...plates? And then my car had to go into it's little coma. Fucker.

*sigh*

I just want to move already. It's so hard being here away from him. Mom said that I shouldn't move in with him unless I really felt that I couldn't be away from him anymore. And I've been that way for months now. It's physically painful some days. And when I do get to see him...leaving is like a knife to the chest. I've never felt so awful in my whole life as I do when I'm driving (or in the case of last week...busing) away. Life doesn't make sense without him. I'm stagnant here. These last two weeks had better fly by.

Only Abstractly Spoilerish [Tuesday, November 25th, 2008 @ 1:26am]
On the True Blood Season Finale:

I should have known he was the bad guy the moment I started to like him. It is, after all, my lot in life to fall for the characters that are either evil, or destined for death.
